In 2014-15, Raon developed the FEGate for Ship, a domestic program, and Samsung Heavy Industries was the first company in Korea to adopt it. It has made our work much more efficient. I think the reason I’m called a "power user" and "VVIP" of FFS is because I’ve been using it so well since its initial implementation. (laughs)

At first, we just thought of RaonX Solutions as a vendor. But now, we see them as developers. They don't just provide a product but truly understand and implement our needs. So, I think calling them "developers" is more fitting. (laughs)

The quick feedback is the most impressive part. I don't think any other company in Korea can match this. Many companies have experts, but RaonX Solutions’ response speed is remarkable. FFS is a practical and realistic software. So again, they’re not just a vendor but developers. (laughs)

I remember a situation involving automated modeling. We outsourced a small modeling task to a partner, and it took them 12 hours to complete it. Each person is familiar with certain tools, and they tend to stick to what they know. But when we demonstrated the speed of FFS, they were amazed. It wasn’t easy to convince those who were used to traditional tools, but now everyone recognizes FFS’s value. I think it's a tool that can compete even in the European market.

It’s clear that in this industry, performance alone cannot solve everything. I think they need to consider marketing more as well. So far, they’ve grown through word of mouth, but now it might be time to expand into other fields. It would also be interesting to explore ways to integrate AI for automated modeling—perhaps a feature where simply showing a drawing could generate a model instantly.

People who use tools are operators, and those who model are designers. What’s important is setting the direction. Younger engineers focus on speed and precision, but what truly matters is their ability to analyze and judge whether the results are correct or not.
